The scheme will work closely with the local community to deliver a long-term legacy for local community in Whitechapel and TowerHamlets. Our ideas focus on helping young local people to be inspired and supported into careers in the STEM sector and creating local employment opportunities across the campus whenever possible. We are also committed to supporting start-up businesses in the STEM sector to access affordable Laboratory space and help to grow a thriving eco-system of local start-up stem sector businesses.
We are also committed to ensuring we minimise our buildings carbon footprint and create a highly sustainable buildings and carbon reduction policies that inspire our tenants and work force to constantly seek to reduce their carbon output.
We aim to create a community investment panel made up of key local stakeholders and residents who will help us to shape and deliver our community programme. We are very keen to hear from local people who have ideas and a passion for STEM based community benefit and can help us to reach the local community.
